Venkatesh General Stores is over here on D P Road in Chikhli. If you are coming down the street, you have to look for Chavhan Beej Bhandar because we are right behind them. It is a bit tucked away, but once you find the seed shop, you will see us. We are also beside Matoshri Mahila Urban, so there are usually people moving around the area for bank work or buying farming stuff. The shop is full of boxes and shelves that go up high. It smells like paper and basic household goods. We have been in Buldhana for a while and the routine stays the same every day. We pull up the shutters in the morning when the road is still a bit quiet. By noon, it gets dusty and loud with the traffic outside. There is a small desk where we sit and the floor is just plain cement. It is not a shiny place with air conditioning, just a regular general store where people come to grab what they forgot to buy elsewhere. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to talk for a minute while they wait for their bus. We don't have any big advertisements or anything like that. We just keep the doors open and wait for whoever needs something. It gets a bit cramped when a big delivery arrives, but we manage to move things around. That is just how things are at our spot in Chikhli. We have been here for years.
