Madhavrao Patil Kalatre Urban Nidhi Limited is our small setup based at H.No.At Khedi (Liha). The place is looked after by Samindrabai Madhavrao Kalatre. We are just a few people working together in this village spot. It is not a corporate building. It’s more like a home where we handle the Nidhi business for the local folks. We spend our days dealing with small deposits and keeping the records straight. People from Khedi stop by quite often just to chat or to put some money aside for later. We aren't a big institution. We are just part of the community here. Our office is simple, with just the basic things we need to get the job done. We don't have any polished speeches or complicated rules. If someone has a question, we just explain it the best we can in plain English. The family name is well-known in these parts, so people feel okay coming to us. We do a lot of manual work, writing things down and checking the books. It’s not fast-paced like the city, but it’s steady. We focus on the people living right here in the Liha area. We aren't looking to expand all over the place. We just want to do our work well at our address. Most of our members are our neighbors and friends.
