Kanggan Store

Kanggan Store is located in Ward No. 30 of Buldana Village. We are right near the post office and very close to the bus stand in Motala. Because of the bus stand, we get a lot of people coming through who are just passing by or waiting for their ride to show up. Our shop is a bit of a mix of everything people in the village might need. It’s not a supermarket; it’s just a regular store with shelves that we fill up whenever the supply truck arrives. Sometimes the truck is late because the roads out here aren't always the best, especially after the monsoon. We know almost everyone who lives in Ward 30 by their first name. It’s the kind of place where people stop to talk for twenty minutes even if they only came in for one small thing. The floor is just simple cement and we have a small bench outside where people sometimes sit to escape the sun. Running a store in Buldana isn't about getting rich or having a big brand. It’s about being there for the neighbors and making sure the basic stuff is available when they need it. It’s quiet in the early mornings, but once the first buses start rolling into Motala, things pick up quickly. We just keep our heads down and keep the shelves as full as we can manage. Sometimes we sit out front in the evenings when it cools down. It’s a quiet way to end the day.
