Gopal House Clinic

Gopal House Clinic is easy to find if you are traveling on Khamgaon Road in Shegaon. It’s a modest place, not like those huge hospitals you see in the big cities. We call it a house clinic because it has that kind of feel to it. There’s a big tree right out front that provides a lot of shade, which is a blessing because Shegaon gets really hot in the summer months. People often wait under the tree instead of sitting inside. Inside, the floors are tiled and we keep them as clean as possible. There’s a small desk where the assistant takes down names. We don't really do the whole fancy appointment system; people just show up when they need to see the doctor. Sometimes the wait can be a bit long, especially on Monday mornings. We have a water cooler in the corner that makes a glugging sound every now and then. The doctor’s office is filled with old medical books and various charts. We handle the usual stuff—flu, stomach bugs, minor cuts, and checkups. It’s a quiet atmosphere most of the time. We know most of the families around Khamgaon Road. They’ve been coming to us for years. It’s a simple setup, but it works for the community here. We don't have big machines or shiny floors, just a place to get checked out and get some medicine.
