Dhole Driving School

Our driving school is located in Morshi on the Warud Road, right at the Jay Stambh Chowk. It is a busy intersection, so our students get a lot of practice dealing with real traffic right from the start. We have a small office where we keep the registers and the keys for the cars. The furniture is a bit old, and there are posters on the wall explaining traffic signs that have started to fade a little from the sun. We use a couple of standard hatchbacks for the lessons because they are easier for beginners to handle in the narrow streets around Amravati. Our days usually start early before the sun gets too high and the roads get too crowded. We spend hours sitting in the cars, guiding people through their first gear shifts and helping them understand how to use the mirrors. It can be a bit frustrating when a student stalls the engine in the middle of the chowk, but we just tell them to take a deep breath and try again. We don't have any flashy advertisements, just the name on the side of the cars and the sign at our office. People from the nearby villages often come to us to get their licenses so they can drive to the markets or for work. It is practical work and we enjoy seeing someone finally get the hang of it and drive off on their own after a few weeks of practice.
