Cool Icecream Parlour

Cool Icecream Parlour is located right in the MIDC Area of Mehkar, on Plot No-23-A. It’s an industrial district, so there are a lot of factories and workshops around us. You wouldn't think of an ice cream shop being here, but it actually works out quite well. The workers from the nearby plots come over during their breaks to get something cold. It gets very dusty and hot in Buldhana, so a bit of ice cream is a welcome relief for most people. The shop is simple, with a few freezers and a counter. I spend most of my time checking the temperature of the machines. If the power goes out, which happens sometimes in this area, I have to scramble to get the generator started so nothing melts. That is the most stressful part of the job. The interior is painted a light color to make it feel a bit cooler inside. We don’t have fancy toppings or anything like that, just the flavors people like. Sometimes the kids from the nearby housing areas come by on their bikes. I’ve been running this place for a few years now. It’s a lot of sitting and waiting, then a big rush of people all at once. It’s a strange place for a parlour, among all the heavy machinery, but we’ve made a home for ourselves here. It feels good to see the smiles when they take that first bite.
