Balaji Clinic

Down here in Deulgaon, life moves at its own pace. Balaji Clinic has been a part of this town in the Buldhana district for a long time now. We aren’t some big corporate setup with lots of paperwork and receptionists in uniforms. It’s just us. The clinic is a place where locals can drop in when they’re feeling under the weather. We see a lot of the same faces month after month. Some people come in just to ask a quick question about a medicine they’re taking or to get a small wound bandaged up. It gets pretty hot in this part of Maharashtra, so we make sure the fan is always running for whoever is waiting. There’s a lot of farming around here, so we see people coming in after a long day in the fields with back aches or heat exhaustion. It’s a very straightforward way of working. We open the shutters, sweep the floor, and wait for the first patient. Sometimes it’s slow and we just sit and talk, other times there’s a line out the door before we even get started. We don't have any big slogans. We just try to be useful to the people in Deulgaon. If we can't help with something big, we tell them where the nearest hospital is. But for most daily troubles, we’re right here. Life is simple here, and we keep the clinic that way too. No need for complicated things when you just want to feel better and get back to your day. We’ve been here for years.
