Baba Foods

Baba Foods is located in Gajanan Colony, over in Morshi. It’s a residential area mostly, so we try to be quiet and not bother the neighbors too much. Our setup is pretty simple. We mostly handle local food items that people around here like to eat. I remember when we first got the keys to this place, it was quite a mess. We spent weeks cleaning and painting just to get it ready. Now, it’s where we spend most of our time. We have a couple of big stoves and some tables for packing. It’s not a big factory, just a local spot where we make things by hand. The smell of roasted grains often fills the street, and sometimes kids from the colony come by to see what we’re making. My wife and a couple of her friends do a lot of the sorting and packing. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just rely on the fact that people in Morshi know us and like the things we make. The work is steady, though it gets very busy during the festival seasons. Sometimes we’re working late into the night just to keep up with everything. It’s tiring, sure, but it’s good to have work. We aren't trying to become some giant company. We just want to make decent food and stay part of this community. It’s a good life for us here and we enjoy the daily routine.
