We’ve been here on Chikhali Road in Deulgaon Mahi for a while now. It is a combined setup with the clinic and Rahul Medical together so folks don't have to wander far after seeing the doctor. Most mornings start early before the sun gets too high. You can hear the traffic starting up outside on the main road. It’s mostly local people from the nearby farms or the town center who drop in. Sometimes it’s just someone needing a strip of tablets for a headache or a kid who scraped their knee. We have those plastic chairs in the front where people sit and wait their turn. It’s not a fancy place with air conditioning in every corner but we keep it clean. The shelves at the medical counter are usually packed up to the ceiling because you never know what someone might need. Sometimes the power goes out and we just deal with it. Life in Deulgaon Mahi moves at its own pace and we are just part of that daily rhythm. We know most of the people who walk through the door by their first names or at least recognize their faces from seeing them around the market. It’s just about being here when someone isn't feeling right. The door stays open most of the day and we close up once the evening rush settles down. It is simple work but it keeps us busy enough throughout the week.
