Vidarbha Bricks

We are out in Sungaon Village, which is part of the Jalgaonjamod Taluka. It’s a bit of a drive to get here but it’s where all the work happens. We have the post office nearby in Jalgaon which is handy for mail and everything else. Being in the village means we have plenty of space for the bricks. It’s quiet out here compared to the city, but it gets busy when we’re in the middle of a big batch. Vidarbha Bricks isn’t a high-tech operation. We use the land and the local resources to make things work. Most of the guys working here are from around the district, so everyone knows each other. It’s physical work and it can be tough when the weather is hot, but we’re used to it. The ground gets quite muddy when it rains, which can slow us down, but that’s part of being in this business. We don’t have a big marketing team or anyone like that. Usually, people just hear about us from their neighbors or see our trucks moving through the village roads. We keep our records in a simple way and don’t worry too much about being flashy. It’s about getting the bricks made and ready for whoever needs them. Life moves a bit slower in this part of the country, and we’re fine with that. It’s a steady way to make a living for all of us involved in the day to day.
