Ujwal Dudh Dairy

In the village of Sangrampur, out here in Buldhana district, things move at a different pace. Ujwal Dudh Dairy is right in the middle of it all. We don’t have a website or a big marketing team, just our hands and the milk that comes in every morning. The day starts very early for us, way before the sun even starts to show. You can hear the tractors and the cows from quite a distance. Local farmers bring their milk in cans, and we spend the morning measuring and recording everything. The floor is usually wet from cleaning the containers, and the air always smells like fresh milk and hay. It’s not a polished business with a lot of rules; we just know everyone by name and how they like to work. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to manage with what we have. It’s hard work, and your back starts to ache after a few hours of lifting heavy cans. Buldhana can get very dry, so we have to be careful with everything we do. We’ve been part of this village for a long time. People stop by not just for the dairy work, but just to say hello or share some news. It’s just a small village dairy doing its part day by day. We don’t pretend to be anything else.
