Royal Thread

Our workshop, Royal Thread, is tucked away in Ansariyan Mohalla here in Sikandrabad. If you know where the Kile Wali Masjid is, we are right near there. It’s also close to where the Khurja Wala Doctor is located. It’s a bit of a maze in these streets sometimes, but we like it here. It’s where we grew up and where we decided to set up our business. We deal with threads all day long, so there’s always a bit of lint in the air and stacks of bobbins everywhere. It’s a hands-on job, and my hands are usually stained or dusty by the end of the shift. We started small, just a couple of machines and a lot of hope. Over time, we’ve added a bit more, but we still keep it simple. It’s a family thing, mostly. We don’t have managers or big meetings. We just talk over lunch about what needs to be done. The noise of the machines is something you get used to after a while; it almost feels too quiet when they are turned off. Neighbors often drop by just to say hello or ask for a bit of help with something. That’s the kind of place this is. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the world. We just want to do good work that people can use. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy from morning till evening. We just keep our heads down and work.
