Our shop sits right on Dadri Jarchar Road in Gautam Budha Nagar, and we’ve seen the traffic change quite a bit over the years. We carry a bit of everything that people around here might need for their daily lives or their projects. It's a family-run spot, named after the elders, and we try to keep that spirit going every day we open the shutters. You’ll usually find one of us sitting behind the counter, while the others are moving stock in the back or helping a customer find a specific item. The shelves are pretty full, and it might look a bit messy to an outsider, but we know exactly where every bolt and bag is located. The road gets dusty, and the noise from the trucks passing by is constant, but it’s home for us. We get all sorts of visitors, from farmers coming in from the nearby villages to people just passing through on their way to the city. We don’t have any big signs or bright lights, just the name on the wall and the items piled up. Sometimes it gets quiet in the afternoons, and that’s when we catch up on the bookkeeping or restock the front bins. We like being part of the community here and knowing the faces of the regulars who stop in just to say hello. Dealing with people is the main part of the job, and we take it as it comes without making it too complicated.
