Manoj Electricals

If you walk down through Hans Vihar, you’ll find us at No. 33/1. The shop, Manoj Electricals, is pretty packed from floor to ceiling. We have boxes of wires, different sized bulbs, and plastic switches shoved into every available shelf. It’s a bit of a mess, to be honest, but we usually know where everything is if you give us a minute to look. The counter is old wood that’s been worn down over the years, and there’s always a bit of grey dust on the overhead fans we have for sale. People from the Bhoor Hans Vihar area come in mostly for small things, like a fuse or a bit of tape to fix a leaky wire at home. We don’t have a big staff, just a couple of us who know a bit about how things plug in. The bell on the door doesn't always ring, so sometimes someone is just standing there waiting before we notice. The street outside is quiet in the mornings but picks up once the school nearby lets out. We keep a ledger on the desk to write everything down because the computer is slow and half the time it won’t turn on anyway. It’s just a normal neighborhood shop where we drink way too much tea and talk about the weather while we wait for the next person to walk in. We try to keep things organized but it never stays that way for long.
