About National Handicraft Emporium – Art & Craft in Bulandshahar
You’ll find the National Handicraft Emporium right on G.T. Road, not far from the Bharat Gas Agency. It’s a very busy road with a lot of trucks and cars passing by at all hours. Our shop is filled with all kinds of things we’ve collected and put on display. It’s a bit of a maze inside with shelves piled high and items tucked into every corner. We don’t really have a strict layout, so sometimes you have to dig around a bit to find what you’re looking for. The dust from the road comes in whenever the door opens, so we’re always wiping things down. We’ve been at this location for a long time. It’s a family-run kind of thing, and we take pride in the items we have, even if the place looks a bit cluttered. We aren't like those modern stores with bright lights and everything in neat rows. It’s a bit more traditional here. We spend our time talking to people who stop in and explaining where the different handicrafts come from. It’s a slow pace of work, which is a nice change from the chaos on the G.T. Road just outside our door. We just want to keep the shop open and keep these crafts available for anyone who appreciates them. It’s a simple life and a simple business, and we wouldn't have it any other way. We've seen many changes, but we're still here.
