About Bansal Pottery – Art & Craft in Bulandshahar
Bansal Pottery is situated at B-6 in the Industrial Area on Junction Road. If you come by, you’ll see plenty of clay and kilns. This is where we spend our days, shaping things and waiting for the ovens to do their job. It’s a dusty environment, and the smell of wet earth is always around. We’ve been here for years, and the workshop has seen a lot of use. We make a variety of items, mostly the kind of things people use in their kitchens or gardens. It’s not a high-tech operation. We still rely on the same basic methods that have worked for a long time. Junction Road is quite a busy place, but once you step inside the gates, it’s all about the clay. Our workers are local people who have learned the trade over time. We don't have a fancy catalog or a big sales team. Most of our stock goes to local markets or gets picked up by regular buyers who know how our pots turn out. Some days the heat from the kilns is almost too much, especially in the summer, but the work has to get done. We don't talk much about visions or goals, we just focus on not cracking the pieces while they dry. It’s honest work that keeps us connected to the ground. We start our mornings early and keep going until the last batch is set. It’s a messy job, but we like it.
