We are located over in Chanapora, specifically at House Number 3 in the Dudh Ganga Colony. Most people around here just know us as the local spot for counseling and advice. It isn't a massive office with glass walls or anything like that. Instead, it’s a comfortable space where we sit down and try to figure things out for whoever walks in. We started Soz-E-Kashmir Councellors because we saw a need for someone to actually listen and provide a bit of direction. Sometimes the days are long and the tea gets cold before we can drink it. We deal with all sorts of situations, some simple and some a bit more complicated. Living and working in the same colony means we see our clients at the market or just walking down the street. It makes the work feel more real, I think. We don’t bother with fancy speeches or trying to look bigger than we are. There is a lot of paperwork involved in this kind of business, but we try to keep that part in the background so the focus stays on the person sitting across from us. It is just us here, doing what we can to help people navigate whatever they are going through. If you are looking for the place, just look for the house number. We’ve been here a while and plan on staying. It’s quiet mostly, which helps with the thinking process. We just take things one day at a time and see how it goes.
