Land Mark Educational Institute

Land Mark Educational Institute sits out in Daharmunah Soibagh, which is part of the Budgam district. It is a bit of a trek for some, but for the folks living in the 191111 area, we are just right down the road. The area around Soibugh is pretty quiet compared to the bigger towns. We have a simple building that serves as our main base. There are trees around the perimeter, and sometimes the wind gets quite strong across the open ground. Most of us who work here are from the surrounding villages. We spend our days going from room to room, checking on the students and making sure the chalkboards are clean. It is a very hands-on kind of place. If a desk breaks, one of us usually ends up fixing it ourselves. We do not have a big administration office; we just sit in the main hall and handle whatever comes up. The kids bring their own lunches, and we usually have a small tea stall nearby where the staff goes during the break. It gets a bit dusty in the summer and very cold in the winter, but that is just how it is in Budgam. People know us as the local institute where they can send their children without having to travel too far into the city. It is not a glamorous job, but it is steady work and we know almost every family in the vicinity.
