You can find us in Raithan village, which is over in the Khansahib taluka. It’s a quiet area and the air is a bit fresher out here than it is in the bigger towns. We work with food and drinks, mostly focusing on things that people need every day. The building is a simple one, and we don’t spend much on decorations because we’re too busy with the actual production. There’s always a bit of a rush in the mornings when the raw materials arrive. We have to move quickly to get everything stored or processed before the heat of the day sets in. The locals around Raithan know us well and sometimes they stop by to chat while we’re loading up the small vans. It’s the kind of place where everyone knows everyone else’s business, which is usually fine. We don’t have a big office with computers and desks; it’s mostly just a table with some ledgers and a lot of space for the equipment. Sometimes the mountain weather makes the roads a bit tricky for the transport, but we’ve learned to plan around the rain and the cold. We take pride in the fact that we do most of the work ourselves. It’s a long day and your back might ache by the end of it, but it feels good to see the finished products stacked up and ready for the market.
