Cottage Inn

You can find us at the Main Chowk in Baghat, which is in the Barzulla area of Srinagar. Our building is right there near the crossroads, so it’s easy to spot if you’re driving through. The pincode is 190005. We’ve been running this place for a while, and it feels like home to us. The winters get quite cold here in Srinagar, so we spend a lot of time making sure the inside stays warm for the guests who come in. It’s not a very big inn, just a humble place where people can stop and rest. The furniture is mostly wood and looks a bit worn from all the years of use. We don't have any professional decorators; we just put things where they fit. Our staff members are all from around here, so they know the streets of Barzulla well. Sometimes the electricity goes out, but we have a way to deal with that. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything, just a small counter where we check people in. People from the neighborhood often stop by just to say hello or have a quick chat while we are working. It’s a simple life running a business in this part of town. We focus on the basics like keeping the rooms tidy and the kitchen running. There is nothing too complicated about how we operate daily. We just take each day as it comes and try to be helpful to anyone who stays with us.
