Our place is in Village Dawan, right near the Sabzi Mandi. If you know where the vegetable market is, you’ve basically found us. Being near the market means it’s always lively, especially in the early mornings when the trucks are coming in. Shiv Pooja Enterprises is a local business that deals with everyday supplies and general trade. We don't have a huge staff, just a few local guys who know where everything is kept. The shop is full of all sorts of things, and sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what a customer wants, but we always get there. We like being in the village rather than the big city. It feels more personal here. People stop by not just to buy things but to have a quick chat about the weather or the crop prices. We don't have a website or any of those modern things; we just open the shutters in the morning and wait for people to come in. It’s a simple way to run a business. We try to keep the prices fair because we know everyone around here. It gets a bit dusty with all the traffic from the mandi, but that's just part of being in Dawan. We’ve been here for years and hope to stay for many more, just doing our thing. There's always someone coming or going, and it keeps the day moving fast.
