We've been at the Choak Bazar spot for a while now. Most people know us because we're right by the bus stop in Bilsi. It’s a busy area and the shop stays quite dusty from the road, but that’s just how it is. We keep a lot of cans stacked up on the shelves, mostly different colors and types of paints for houses or whatever else people need to paint. It’s just a family-run place, nothing fancy. Sometimes the inventory gets a bit messy when a big shipment comes in, and we spend all afternoon moving tins around. My dad started this and now I help out most days. People stop by on their way to the market or while waiting for their bus to ask about prices or what brushes they should use for a gate. We don't have a big fancy showroom, just the counter and the rows of paint. The fan in the back makes a bit of noise, but it keeps us cool enough. If you’re walking through the main market, you’ll see our sign. We try to keep the popular stuff in stock so people don't have to wait. It's a straightforward business, really. We open up early, sweep the front, and talk to the regulars who come in for a chat or a tin of primer. It’s how things go here in Bilsi. I usually have a cup of tea around four and look out at the traffic.
