Ak Namkeen is tucked away in Mohalla Sahukara, right on Bilsi Road. If you are coming from the main road, you just look for Holi Chowk and we are pretty close to that. It’s a busy little corner of the world. We spend most of our days here around the big frying vats and bags of flour. The shop isn't very large, but we make it work. It smells like spices and oil most of the time, which I suppose is part of the job. We make all sorts of snacks that people like to have with their tea. It's just a regular local business. We don't have any big flashy signs or a huge team of people in suits. It is just us, making the namkeen and bagging it up for the folks who walk in. Sometimes the neighbors stop by just to chat for a minute while they wait for their order. Bilsi Road can get quite crowded, especially around festival times when everyone wants something crunchy to eat. We try to keep the shelves stocked, though sometimes we run out of the popular stuff faster than we expect. We’ve been in this spot for a bit now and we know the faces of the people who live nearby. It’s a simple life, just working the shop and making sure the quality is what it should be. Nothing too complicated about it, just a lot of frying and packing sacks of snacks every day of the week.
