M. J. Stones

You can find us over in Naidu Palli, which is in the Raikhola area near Kukudakhandi. We are part of the Ganjam district. It’s a bit of a rural spot, but we like it that way. We have been working with stones here for a long time now. The yard is where we spend all our time, sorting through different types of stone that come in from the local areas. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. We don’t have a big office or a receptionist; you’ll usually find us out back with the materials. The dust is just part of the everyday life here. Most of our customers are from nearby villages or the main town in Ganjam. They know we’ve been here for a while and that we just do things our own way. We don't use any fancy language to describe what we do. We just get the stone, cut it when needed, and help people load it up.
