Orbit Coatings

Our place is over on Aasha Road, right near that TVS showroom everyone knows. If you miss the showroom, you've gone too far. We handle coatings here. It's the kind of work that gets under your fingernails and stays there. The shop isn't anything special to look at, just a practical space where we get the jobs done. Usually, it smells like paint and chemicals, which I guess we’ve just gotten used to over the years. We started Orbit Coatings because we knew how to do this one thing well. We don't have a big fancy reception area or anyone in a suit. Most of us are wearing overalls that have seen better days and have stains all over them. When a batch comes in, we just get to it. Sometimes the weather makes the drying take forever, and that's frustrating, but we manage to get through the day. There's always a bit of a mess around, buckets and stirrers and whatnot, but we know where everything is kept. It’s a small team, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, from unloading the supplies to the actual coating work. Being near the showroom means there's always traffic, so it can be a bit of a pain to park sometimes. We just try to stay focused on the tasks in front of us. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s our life. We’ve been here long enough that the regulars just drop stuff off.
