Darpana Tailors And Sarees

We are located at 9-1-38 in Hasmathpet, over in the Old Bowenpally area. It’s a quiet corner compared to the main market, but we like it that way. Darpana Tailors And Sarees has been around for a while now. I spend most of my day sitting with the fabrics and the sewing machines. It is a lot of work, especially when the wedding season starts or during festivals when everyone wants their blouses stitched at the same time. The address is easy to find once you are in Hasmathpet. I keep a good stock of sarees, nothing too loud, just what people around here like to wear for daily use or small functions. My hands are usually stained with chalk or thread bits are stuck to my clothes by the time I go home. It’s not a big showroom with bright lights. Just a small space filled with cloth rolls and the sound of the machine. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and talk with the neighbors until it comes back. That’s just life in Bowenpally. I’ve seen kids grow up and bring their own kids here now for small alterations. We don't do anything too fancy, just honest tailoring work. I like looking at the different patterns that come in. Every saree has a story I guess. We stay open until late evening most days to finish the orders on time.
