Chaitra Sai Jute Creations

We run Chaitra Sai Jute Creations out of Sri Satya Residency. We are up on the 5th floor in Room No 501. It is a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, but we like the space in Mallikarjuna Colony. Being in Old Bowenpally makes it easy for us to get around and send things out. We mainly deal with jute because it is a tough material and people seem to like it more these days. Our room is usually full of rolls of brown jute and bags that are halfway finished. You can hear the hum of the machines most of the day. It is a small setup, just a few of us making things by hand. We started this because we liked working with our hands and jute is just a practical thing to use. We don't have a big storefront or anything like that. Most people hear about us from their neighbors or friends in the colony. We spend a lot of time cutting patterns and making sure the handles on the bags are strong enough to carry groceries. Sometimes we experiment with different colors, but mostly it is the natural look that people want. The 5th floor is quiet enough that we can get our work done without too many distractions from the street below. We just enjoy the process of turning a rough roll of jute into something useful for people in Bowenpally.
