Gujarat Foods sits right off National Highway 84, near Village Bhadrod. If you’re driving on the Mahuva Bhavnagr Road, you’ll see our gate. It’s a dusty spot, especially when the wind picks up across the fields. We started here because it was close to where the produce comes from. Most of our days are spent checking sacks and making sure the storage stays dry. It’s a lot of physical work, and our hands are rarely clean by lunch. The local kids sometimes walk past on their way to school, and we know the truck drivers by the sound of their horns. It’s not like those big city offices where everything is quiet and clean. Here, there’s always the smell of the road and whatever we’re processing that day. Sometimes the rains make the track to the entrance a bit muddy, so we spend a lot of time shoveling dirt to keep it level. We don’t have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy letters. Usually, it’s just one of us sitting at the wooden desk near the back, writing down figures in a ledger. We’ve been part of this landscape for years now, and the village feels like home. We just handle the food that comes through and try to keep things moving along the highway. It’s simple work, but it keeps the local economy moving a little bit.
