Angel Paver Block

Out here at Lathidad in Bhavnagar, things move a bit slower than in the big cities, but we stay pretty busy with our paver blocks. Making these blocks is a process that takes time and a lot of space. We have them laid out in the yard to cure, and we are always checking to see if the mix was just right. It is a dusty business, and the cement gets into your skin and clothes by the end of the shift. We are just a local operation, so we know most of the people who come by to pick up blocks for their driveways or garden paths. The Bhavnagar sun is no joke, so we try to get the heavy casting work done in the cooler hours of the morning. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that; we just rely on the fact that people see our blocks being used around the village and nearby areas. Sometimes a batch doesn't turn out perfect, and we have to start over, which is frustrating but part of the job. We spend our days outside mostly, managing the molds and talking to the drivers who come to load up the finished products. It is practical work that requires a lot of patience and physical effort. We just keep our heads down and focus on making enough blocks to keep up with the local demand.
