Swagat Hospital And Research Centre

Our place, Swagat Hospital and Research Centre, is located right on C.M. Das Path. It’s a busy road and the hospital is a big part of the street scene here. We have different floors for different things, and it can feel like a bit of a maze if you aren’t here every day. The research side means there are always people in white coats looking at data or samples in the labs. It’s a bit different from a regular clinic because of that. The corridors are long and usually have someone mopping them or moving a gurney along. We have some older equipment and some newer stuff too. It’s a mix. The air conditioning in the main lobby is a bit loud, but it keeps the heat away during the summer months. People come here for all kinds of reasons, some staying overnight and others just popping in for a quick test. We have a canteen that smells like tea and fried snacks in the afternoon. The staff mostly keeps to themselves, busy with their shifts. It’s not a place for lounging around. We try to keep the paperwork moving, though the computers can be slow when everyone is logged in at once. The parking lot is usually full of bikes and the occasional car, and there’s always someone at the gate checking people in. It’s just a functioning hospital trying to keep up with the daily flow of patients.
