Md. Hardware & Suppliers

Our place is called Md. Hardware & Suppliers and you can find us in Basapara village. We are in the Nanur area of Birbhum. It’s a small shop packed with all sorts of things like nails, hammers, pipes, and whatever else people need for their homes. I started this because I got tired of traveling miles just to buy a simple wrench. Now, I try to keep everything right here for the local people. The shop is a bit messy, to be honest. There are boxes stacked in the corners and things hanging from the ceiling. It’s not pretty, but if you need a specific bolt, I can usually find it if you give me a minute. We get a lot of farmers and local builders coming through. They usually stay for a cup of tea while we gather their items. The weather in Birbhum can be tough, either too hot or too rainy, so the shop is a good place to duck out of the sun. We don’t have any fancy staff, just me and a helper. We try to keep the prices fair because we know everyone around here isn't rich. It’s a basic business, nothing more. We just want to make sure that when someone in Basapara needs to fix a leak or build a wall, they can get what they need without a struggle.
