Guru Nanak Traders is based in Birbhum district. We’ve been operating around here for quite some time now. Birbhum is a big place but most people in our trade know where we are. We deal with whatever comes our way on a daily basis. The warehouse or shop, whatever you want to call it, isn't very large but it holds what we need. We don’t really go in for big advertisements or fancy websites. Most of our business comes from people just knowing who we are. Some days are busier than others, especially when shipments arrive or when the local markets are in full swing. We spend a lot of time talking to folks from across the district. It’s a lot of manual work and keeping track of things on paper. Sometimes the lights go out or the weather gets bad, but we keep going. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. It’s just a few of us making sure Guru Nanak Traders stays running. We’ve seen Birbhum change over the years, but we’ve mostly stayed the same. It’s a practical way of living.
