Ghosh Exports

Started at Santiniketan Road. Bolpur is a small place, really. We’ve been here at 68/1 for a while now. It’s right near Bhubandanga. If you know the area, it’s easy to find, but if you’re new it might take a minute. We handle exports, mostly just getting stuff from here to wherever it needs to go. It’s not some big fancy operation with hundreds of people. Just a few of us in the office. We spend a lot of time on the phone and checking lists. The weather gets really hot here in Birbhum, so we have the fans going all day. Sometimes the internet is slow, which is annoying when you have emails to send. We’ve lived in this town forever. My uncle started things off, and we just kept it going. It’s quiet work mostly. Not like the big cities where everything is rushing. We take our time to make sure the boxes are labeled right and the papers are all there. If someone calls, we usually answer. It’s a simple way to make a living. We don't have a big mission statement or anything. We just want to get the work done so we can go home. Sometimes we have tea outside and talk to the neighbors. It’s just how it is here. Nothing more to it than that, really. We keep the books in order and try to keep everyone happy enough. That’s our day.
