T.D. Mukherjee & Others

We operate under the name T.D. Mukherjee & Others and we are based near the Tata Steel Division in the Bokaro Collieries area, out towards Ranchi. It is a heavy industrial zone, dominated by the mining and steel industries. You can feel the vibration of the heavy machinery and see the coal dust in the air most days. Our office is a simple building that has seen a lot of years. It is where we handle various matters related to the collieries and the people working in them. There are a few of us partners, and we have known each other for a long time. The office is usually filled with the sound of old fans and the shuffling of thick paper files. We don't have any modern glass partitions or sleek furniture. It is all wooden desks and metal cupboards that are stuffed with records. People from the mines often drop by to discuss their issues or ask for advice on some paperwork. We take things as they come. The environment is quite rugged, and our way of working reflects that. We don't use much flowery language or complicated business talk. We just listen to what needs to be done and try to figure out a path forward. It is a tough location to work in sometimes, especially with the heat and the noise, but this is where the work is. We have been part of this landscape for decades.
