Siya Chemcial

Siya Chemical is our small shop in Rangamatia Village. The official address is Shop/No-Rmsi-36, near the Chandan Kiyari Post Office. We are in the Chandankiyari Block of Bokaro District. If you find the SBI Bank, we are just a short walk from there. I opened this place because the farmers and small local workers needed a place to buy chemicals without traveling all the way to the big city. It’s a modest shop with basic shelves and a small counter. We don't have air conditioning, so we keep the door wide open to catch the breeze. Sometimes a cow or a goat will wander past while we are talking to a customer. It’s a very local feel here. My nephew helps me out with the daily chores, like sweeping the floor and stacking the new arrivals. We know almost everyone who walks through the door by their first name. We talk about the rain and how the crops are doing while we weigh out what they need. We don't have any big corporate goals. We just want to make sure the village has what it needs for the season. Our ledger is an old thick book where we write down everything. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it works for us in Rangamatia. The pace is slow, and we have time to actually listen to people. We’ve been here for years and hope to stay for many more.
