L & T Ecc Division

Our office covers both the Bokaro and Durgapur areas. We are right in the middle of the industrial belt here. It’s a lot of travel back and forth between Jharkhand and West Bengal. One day we are looking at stuff in Durgapur and the next we are over in Bokaro. It keeps us on our toes. The air is always a bit heavy with the factory smoke, but you get used to it after a week. L & T Ecc Division has been in this region for quite some time now. We aren't in a shiny skyscraper. Our building is practical and a bit older. We have a lot of maps on the walls and boots by the door because someone is always coming in from a site. It gets messy when the rain starts. We don't have a lot of meetings, we just talk over the desks. It’s easier that way. Sometimes the power goes out and we just wait for the generator to kick in. It’s a regular job for us. We handle the technical side of the projects and make sure the supplies get where they need to go. There’s always coffee in the pot, even if it’s not very good. We just focus on the daily list and try to get home on time. It is a long day usually, but the work is steady and the people here are decent enough.
