Jaiswal Store

Sector 09 is a large area, but everyone knows the Ramdih Mod market. Jaiswal Store is right in the middle of all the action. Being near Bokaro Steel City means most of our customers are workers or their families. They come in after their shifts, looking tired but needing to pick up things for dinner. I’ve lived in this sector for most of my life, so I know a lot of the faces that walk through the door. The shop is full of metal shelves that we painted green a few years back. They are mostly filled with lentils, spices, and cleaning supplies. It gets really busy around the first of the month when everyone gets paid at the plant. We have to stock up extra then or we run out of the basics. The market can be a bit chaotic with bikes parked everywhere and people moving between stalls. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to use candles or a small battery light to see the scales. I don't mind it much. It’s just how things are here. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the name painted above the door. Most people just walk in because they know we have what they need for their kitchens. My son helps out in the evenings after he finishes his work. We just keep going, day after day, keeping the community supplied with their daily goods.
