Our presence here in Bokaro is based out of the R.H. Colony, specifically at Quarter No-1B307 in the Bermo area. It’s more of a site-specific office, which means we are right where the action is. Vikash Kumar handles a lot of the local coordination, and being the son of B.M. Singh, he’s well-known in the community. The colony is a quiet place, but our work is anything but quiet. We are usually neck-deep in project documents or out inspecting the local infrastructure projects that Ivrcl is handling in Jharkhand. The 829104 zip code is our home base for now. It’s a small space, but it’s enough for us to manage the logistics and the payroll for the local workers. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist; if you come by, you’ll probably just find one of us hunched over a laptop or talking on a mobile phone to a site supervisor. The work in Bokaro can be tough because of the industrial nature of the area, but we’ve got a solid handle on it. We don't really do much in the way of promotion. We just show up every day, handle the various issues that crop up with the equipment or the materials, and try to stay on schedule as best as we can. It’s a straightforward way to run a business.
