Ganpati Enterprises

Our shop, Ganpati Enterprises, is located on Chas Road in Bokaro Steel City. We are very close to the Punjab National Bank, which is where everyone seems to congregate in the mornings. Being in a steel city like Bokaro, there is a certain rhythm to the day that depends on the factory shifts. Our place on Chas Road gets a lot of foot traffic from people going to the bank or the nearby markets. The shop itself is quite long and narrow, filled with various items we keep in stock. We don't have a lot of fancy lighting, just some bulbs that get the job done. The front of the shop is usually open to the street, so we get a lot of breeze but also a lot of the noise from the traffic. We’ve been here long enough that most of the other shopkeepers on Chas Road are like friends. We often stand outside on the pavement to chat when things are slow. It’s a straightforward business; we don't try to be anything we aren't. We just open up in the morning, sweep the floor, and wait for the first customer to walk in. Sometimes the power goes out, which is common around here, so we keep a couple of torches handy just in case. It’s just a normal, everyday business in a busy part of the city, and we take things one day at a time.
