Ark Foods

Ark Foods is based out of Balidih in Bokaro Steel City. This area is mostly known for the big steel plants, but we do something a bit different by focusing on food. Our facility is quite plain and is located right in the heart of the industrial zone. We don't have any fancy signs or a high-tech office. It is a working building where things get packed and moved every day. The people who work here are mostly from the surrounding neighborhoods. We don't have a hierarchy or any corporate titles. We all just pitch in and do whatever is needed at the time. Sometimes we are loading trucks, and other times we are checking the inventory. We don't have a marketing department to tell our story. We just rely on the fact that we have been here for a while and people know we are reliable. It is a bit noisy with all the heavy machinery in the area, but we are used to it by now. We keep our overheads low because we don't see the point in spending on things we don't need. Our focus is purely on the day-to-day operations. We don't have any big visions for the future, we just want to keep doing what we are doing. It is a simple, practical way to run a business in a city like Bokaro. We like the grit of this place.
