Smart Advertisement

Our shop is in Sector 4, not too far from MGM School. You can usually hear the kids during their lunch break or when they head home in the afternoon. Smart Advertisement is a small operation where we do mostly printing and local sign work. The floor is almost always covered in scraps of vinyl and paper cuttings that we missed with the broom. We have a few machines that run most of the day, making a steady humming sound that fills the room. It’s not a corporate office with carpets and suits. We wear old clothes because ink tends to get everywhere no matter how careful you are. We don't have a big portfolio or a fancy website. Most of the people who come to us are local shop owners who need a new banner or some visiting cards printed up quickly. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend half the morning fixing them instead of working on orders. The space is a bit cluttered with rolls of material and half-finished projects leaning against the walls. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just take what someone wants and try to get it onto paper or plastic. It’s a bit messy and the hours are sometimes strange when we have a big job to finish, but it’s a living. We like being in this neighborhood near the school.
