About Sail – Metals & Minerals in Bokaro Steel City
Our place is at No. 4- C 2002 in Bokaro Steel City. It’s one of those addresses that makes sense once you’ve lived here for a few years, but visitors always seem to get a little lost trying to find the right block. Sail is a big part of the town, and our little office is just one small piece of that whole world. The building itself is quite old, with those heavy wooden doors that swell up whenever it rains. We have to give them a real shove to get them open. Inside, the walls are a pale green color that hasn't changed since I started here. We have a lot of old desks that have seen better days, but they are solid enough. There’s a big tree right outside the window that keeps our room in the shade for most of the morning, which is nice. We don’t have much in the way of fancy gadgets, just the stuff we need to get through the paperwork and the daily tasks. People in Bokaro Steel City are mostly used to the routine of the plants and the shifts. We’re no different. We come in, check what needs doing at No. 4- C 2002, and try to keep things moving. It’s not the most exciting work, but it’s steady. Sometimes the water cooler leaks a bit on the floor, so we have a small rug there to catch the drips. It’s just home.
