Great India Masala

We are located right in the middle of the Sunday Market in Tirsa Nagar. Being in Zone No- 4 means it gets very loud and busy, especially on market days. Great India Masala is a small operation where we spend most of our time around spices. You can usually smell the chili or the turmeric from down the street. It gets in your clothes and stays there. We have a few grinders that run most of the day. They make a lot of noise, so we have to shout sometimes to hear each other. The shop isn't very big, and we have bags of raw spices piled up in the corners. We do the cleaning and the sorting by hand mostly. It’s how we make sure nothing bad gets into the mix. People from all over the Bokaro tehsil come by to get their supplies. We don't use any fancy packaging or big advertisements. Most people find us because they know the smell or their neighbor told them about us. Sometimes the dust from the spices makes everyone sneeze, but we are used to it by now. It’s a simple life, just grinding and packing and talking to the customers who stop by. We just want to make sure the masala is strong and the price is fair for the local families who come into the market to buy their supplies every week. It is just honest work in a busy place.
