Our office for Mahindra is situated in Boisar, which is out in the Palghar district, though some people still think of it as part of Thane. We are in Rooprajat Nagar, specifically in the G-4 Wing, Flat No. 2. It’s right across from the Cidco area, so it’s pretty easy to find if you know the neighborhood. Boisar is an interesting place because it’s a mix of residential zones and big factories nearby. We work out of a flat, which gives the whole place a very informal and local feel. It’s not a corporate tower. We have a kitchen where we make tea and a small balcony. You can hear the sounds of the street and the neighbors' kids playing sometimes. Being in Taluka Palghar means we are a bit far from the main Mumbai rush, which is actually quite nice. The pace is a little slower here, but we still keep busy. The flat is filled with files and some spare parts here and there. It’s a bit cramped when the whole team is in, but we get along fine. Most of us have been working in this area for a while, so we know the local shops and the best places for lunch. It’s an honest, simple workplace where we focus on getting the daily jobs done without any extra glitter.
