Our place is at Plot No. 102 in the MIDC area of Tarapur. Calyx Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd. has been operating from this industrial zone for quite some time. Tarapur is a long way out for some people, but for us, it’s where everything happens. Being in an MIDC plot means we are surrounded by other factories and plants. We work on both chemicals and some pharmaceutical ingredients. It’s a lot of technical work, but we talk about it in very plain terms here. We have the usual production lines, storage areas, and a small office space for the paperwork. The air in Tarapur always has that industrial feel to it. Our day-to-day is mostly about following the schedules and making sure the batches are coming out right. We aren't a giant faceless corporation, even if the name sounds a bit long. We are just a group of people working in a factory. Sometimes the power goes out or we have issues with the water supply, which is common in these areas, and we just have to deal with it. We don't have a polished corporate culture. We just show up, do the work, and go home. It’s a practical business. We’ve been at Plot 102 for years and we know the ins and outs of this specific site. It’s nothing fancy, just a solid place where we do our jobs.
