Our mill, Sri Srinivasa Rajeswari Agro Tek Mills Pvt Ltd, is located in Bobbili, Andhra Pradesh. It is a place filled with the sound of machinery running all day long. We work with agricultural products, so the whole building usually smells like the harvest. It is a big operation compared to a small shop, but we still run it with a local feel. Most of the people working here are from around Bobbili. We have been here for a good amount of time, processing what the local farmers bring in. It is dusty and loud, and you have to raise your voice to be heard over the grinders. We do not have a big corporate office. Just a small room with a couple of chairs and some files where we do the accounts. The yard gets muddy when it rains, and that makes moving the grain a bit of a headache for everyone. We do not put out brochures or do big speeches. We just focus on the machines and making sure the output is what it should be. The work changes with the seasons depending on what is being harvested. It is hard work, and we all go home tired, but it is what we do. People in the area know us by name. We just try to keep the mill running steady and take care of the equipment so it does not break down when we need it most.
