Our office is located at the Sahitya Sabha Bhawan on Biswanath Ghat Road. Being in Biswanath Chariali, we are right in the middle of a lot of local activity. We handle infrastructure projects, which keeps us pretty busy most months of the year. The building we are in is well-known around here, so it’s easy for people to find us. We have a few rooms where we keep our computers and all the project documents. It’s a bit of an old-fashioned way of working, maybe, but it works for us. Sonitpur is a good place to be based, and we’ve done a lot of work on the roads and local facilities in this district. We don’t have any marketing people or anyone like that; we just have the engineers and the office staff who keep things running. A typical day for us starts early with tea and a look at the schedule. We spend a lot of time on the phone trying to track down equipment or talking to the laborers on different sites. The office can get a bit messy with boots and hard hats lying around, but that's just the nature of the business. We are just a group of local people working on local projects. We don’t make a big fuss about things. If a job needs doing, we go out and do it. We’ve been part of this community for a while and plan to stay here at Biswanath Ghat Road for a long time.
