Harekrushna Foundation

Our group is based out of Ganganarayanpur, and you can find us through Biswanath Mishra. This is a place where everyone tends to know each other’s business, so we figured we should use that to do some good. The Harekrushna Foundation isn't some big city thing. We are just local people who care about our village and the families living here. It can be hard sometimes getting things done when resources are low, but we manage. We spend our days looking at what the village needs, whether it's something for the school or helping someone with their crops. It isn't always easy, and we make mistakes like anyone else, but we keep at it. We aren't fancy people. We wear our everyday clothes and meet up whenever there is a bit of spare time. Ganganarayanpur is a quiet spot, and we like it that way. We just wanted to create a way for people to help each other out without a lot of fuss. Biswanath handles the paperwork and keeps us organized, which is a big help. Most of our work happens right out in the open, not in some closed-off room. We think it’s important to just be there when someone needs a bit of support or a problem needs solving. It’s a slow pace of life here, but we find enough to keep ourselves busy every single day. We are just part of the community here.
