Mahadev Enterprises

Mahadev Enterprises is situated in Itakhola, right along State Highway 45 in Sonitpur. We are very close to Naduar Junior College, so we see a lot of students walking by every morning and afternoon. The highway brings in a lot of different people, from truck drivers to families just passing through the area. We handle various goods and supplies. The shop isn't very large, but we try to keep what people need. It’s a lot of opening boxes and arranging things on the shelves. The traffic can be very loud, especially the buses that fly down the highway. We have a small bench outside where we sometimes sit for a minute when things are quiet. Sonitpur is a nice place to work, though it gets very green and a bit damp during the monsoon season. We don't do much marketing or anything like that. People just know we are here because they see the sign when they drive past the college. It’s a very local operation. We know most of the people who live nearby and they often stop in to chat even if they aren't buying anything. We just keep things running one day at a time, making sure the shop is open when it’s supposed to be. It can be a long day, but we are used to the rhythm of the highway and the college bell. The evenings are usually a bit quieter once the students head home.
