Srishtineer Women Artisans Empowerment Association
About Srishtineer Women Artisans Empowerment Association – Charity & Non Profit Organisations in Birbhum
In Bolpur, down in the Sukantapally area of Ward No. 5, you will find our small association. We go by the name Srishtineer Women Artisans Empowerment Association. Our office is care of Ayub Ali in Bhubandanga. It is a quiet part of the Birbhum district, which is a nice change from the busy city life. We spend our days working with the local women who are skilled in making things by hand. It’s a very traditional place, and we try to respect that in how we work. Our office isn't anything special to look at. It’s just a room with enough space for us to sit and talk. We don't use big, fancy words to describe our day-to-day. Mostly, it’s about making sure the workers have what they need. Some days are slow and quiet, while other days are a bit of a rush to get things organized. Bolpur has its own way of doing things, and we just go along with that. We aren't a massive organization with a lot of funding. We rely on the hard work of the people here in Sukantapally. If you drop by, you will likely find us around a wooden table discussing a project. We don't have a PR person or a marketing budget. We just have our neighbors and the artisans we know. It’s an honest way to live, and we are glad to be part of the Birbhum community.
